Interactive Maps
The London Borough of Islington have used SASPAC's Web Publishing tool to promote Air Emission data released by the Department of Environment. The map contains emission intensity and sources for Middle Layer Super Output Areas (MLSOA) in Islington. We are always keen to share user experiences so if you have produced any interactive maps that you would like to share with other SASPAC users please contact the helpdesk.

2001 Specially Commissioned Tables (SCT)
There are now over 300 Specially Commissioned Tables available from the SASPAC website. A majority of these are downloadable as SASPAC System Files along with the updated searching files. Tables include: Lower Level Super Output Area (LLSOA) migration by age and qualification, ONS' language needs indicator and social grade by dependent children for Postcode Sectors. Accessing the 2001 Output Area Classifications (OAC)
A reminder that the 2001 UK-wide OAC, produced on behalf of ONS by the University of Leeds, is available in a SASPAC format from our website. The classification is used to group together geographic areas according to key characteristics common to the population in that grouping. These groups are called clusters and have been derived from the 2001 Key Statistics Census data. Accessing this data through SASPAC will allow users to output OAC alongside other Census data, map OAC using MapShore and identify OAC characteristics around a particular point of interest. Training
SASPAC training courses are available for new and existing users. One, two and three day courses are available at the City Hall, London or on location. For more details visit the training page of our website. The next dates at the City Hall in London are likely to be around January/February 2007, please contact the helpdesk if you would like to attend.

MRS conference
Finally, another reminder about the forthcoming Market Research Society (MRS) event - "Geography and People - how academic theory has evolved into business benefits". This takes place on Monday 27th November and for more details and information on how to book visit the MRS website.
